#1 Split screen layout

Divide the elements on your site into two or more vertical parts for a modern look. When used properly, this split-screen layout provides a magical viewing experience for your users. It is especially suitable for minimalist websites with not much text. When you combine this layout with a dynamic scroll function, you can display a lot of information on one page and visitors will stay on your website longer! Split-screen layout is the UX design trend for 2024!

#2 Memphis design

The 80s are experiencing a revival, both in the field of fashion, music, design and interior, as well as in the field of web design! You increasingly come across geometric patterns, striking colors or sleek designs. These style influences are based on Memphis design. We're talking about the '80s, but today's Memphis-based design has undergone quite a few modernizations. Check it out below!

#3 Best of both worlds

We already saw the serif fonts on a large scale last year. In the field of fonts, we will see a new trend in the coming year: merging serif and sans-serif fonts in combination with various colors. This places extra emphasis on the text content. We often see this as an alternative to the traditional hero section with image and title.

#4 The power of simplicity

The minimalist trend will continue next year. We increasingly see simplicity and geometry in the web designs and logos of large organizations. We also see a lot of white space and large surfaces. Not too much fuss, and the emphasis is mainly on the core message. Whether that relates to the products you want to sell or the emotion you want to convey.

#5 Social proof

Reviews through stars, upvotes and testimonials have only one purpose: to make the visitor believe that something is popular and therefore credible. These are just three examples of social proof. Your evidence page gives the visitor reasons to believe in your product or service. This supports the need for building a customer relationship at different levels. And since a website is often the first point of contact, the relationship will also have to start there. Social proof is hot! It is therefore becoming increasingly important and from 2024 it will no longer be an integral part of successful web design.

#6 Still in the race: Complex gradients

With complex gradients you add depth to a flat image, and that helps to attract attention. This is not a new, but recurring trend. You can use color gradients for various purposes. As a background, but also to simulate depth or subtly add texture to an illustration. It helps to create an illusion of movement, while on the other hand maintaining minimalism. The colors must be chosen accurately and must fully match the atmosphere of the element, the page and the brand.

#7 Motion effects

Motion effects are quickly gaining ground and are an emerging trend in the webdesign industry. These motion effects help create interactive and immersive visitor experiences. For example, you can add scroll animations that move the user from one point to another on the page and draw attention to what the company or service has to offer.

In short: you will make a difference in 2024 through interactive, accessible and user-friendly designs. Do you also want to keep up with the trends and are you curious about what we can do for you in this area? Please do not hesitate to contact us!
