New vacancy portal for Verus

Overview

Verus, an association for Catholic and Christian educational institutions in the Netherlands, has asked us to take over the management and further development of their vacancy portal Onderwijstalenten. This portal enables affiliated schools to independently post and manage vacancies, and offers job seekers the opportunity to easily find relevant education-related vacancies.

Challenge

After the original developers ceased operations, Verus was faced with the challenge of making their vacancy portal future-proof. During an extensive inventory process, our developers assessed the technical state of the existing application. It was determined that various components had to be adjusted or upgraded to ensure security, continuity and expandability for the future.

Solution

We completely overhauled the existing public website and migrated it to Umbraco 13. In addition, we developed a new management environment, based on Microsoft ASP.NET Core MVC and Entity Framework, which seamlessly integrates with the Umbraco website.

Result

The renewed vacancy portal has been successfully implemented and meets the modern requirements of both Verus and the affiliated schools.
